This novel is starting to get more interesting as i go on. Ive never read this book, seen the movie or heard of the story so, there are so many things I'm curious about. Why does Miss Celia Foote want to keep from her husband that she hired Minny from the help. She says its because she wants her husband to think she can cook and clean but Minny knows she is keeping something inside. I'm getting excited as i read on to discover what Celia's secret is. She is a very mysterious lady so far and i have no clue whats lying ahead in Miss Celia Foote's story. Moving on to Miss Skeeter. The author decided to share with me some stuff about her life. She's made it clear that Miss Skeeter wants to be a writer and focus more on that right now. She isn't really looking for love. Miss Skeeter's mother and friends would prefer her to be looking for love. Her mother wanted her to be married right out of high school. Her friends are trying to set her up with men. What i would like to know is why the author decided to make such a big deal about this. I wonder if Miss Skeeter will find a man before the end of the novel. Or maybe she wont, maybe shell be successful in her writing and prove to her friends and family that she doesn't need love right now. Also, the novel talked about Constantine. She was from the help and used to work for Miss Skeeter when she was a little girl. Constantine was pretty much her best friend and was there whenever Miss Skeeter needed her. She kept secrets for her and gave her love as if she was her own. Miss Skeeter went away for school. She sent letters back and forth with Constantine. When she got home from school, Constantine was gone. Im really curious as to where she went. I think the parents got rid of her but im not sure where she went off to.
