Writing Reflection #9

Tweeting is something very new to me. Honestly before I got a Twitter account for this class, I thought Tweeting was kind of stupid. I never even thought of getting an account. I just wasn't really interested. Obviously I never gave it a chance because ever since I got the account, I find myself checking my Twitter or wanting to tweet more often than I ever thought I would. Ive come to realize that Twitter is kind of cool. Maybe a little addicting. So I was a little surprised by that. My goal is to get 100 followers. so far I think I`m at 10!
Things to do before I die, I have absolutely loved doing. Mostly because I love making lists! I always have. Although, It was trickier than I thought. I mean there has been things Ive thought of before that I need to do before I die or I will not be complete. But, I don`t think Ive ever written them down. Making 50-100 things is tough. I`m still working on it but I think once I finish, Ill have a better expanded list of things that I can get started on! That makes me pretty excited! So I will keep working on that and see how it goes!

Reading Reflection #9

Finished The Help, it was great! Bought the movie and watched it yesterday! @cre8tivehavoc

I finished The Help! (Personal Addition 5)

Ok, so it may have taken me 3 months and I may have gotten distracted a few times but I finally finished The Help. I have to say, I found that the second half of the book was more interesting than the first. I really got into it to the point where I always wanted to read it. I was anxious, I wanted to know what was going to happen to Miss Skeeter and all the ladies from the help. Im so happy things worked out for Miss Skeeter in the end. No she didnt end up with her man but, she is pursuing her career. So from my first prediction, I was right. Things are still a little bumpy for Minny and Aibileen but they both ended up free in different ways in the end. Minny left her husband and became free of the violence in her life and Aibileen became free from Mrs Leefolt and Miss Hilly and is ready to start a new adventure. I was left with questions as I finished reading the book.Questions like, I wonder if the town will ever find out the book is about Jackson or that Miss Hilly was the one who ate the chocolate pie. I guess Miss Skeeter wont be making things right with Miss Hilly. I was wondering if they were going to or not.
Overall The Help was a really good book. Very inspiring and has a really good message. For me it was a little slow at first but the rest of the book made up for that! Now I can finally watch the movie!

Free to be me (Personal Addition 4)

Last Friday, my sister and I got matching tattoos. We got them for our birthdays. The meaning of this tattoo seems pretty straight forward, I'm free to be me. But thats not all, there is a song thats called Free to be me. The words to the chorus are :

 'Cause I got a couple dents in my Fender

Got a couple rips in my jeans

Try to fit the pieces together

But perfection is my enemy

And on my own, I'm so clumsy

 But on Your shoulders I can see

                                                            I'm free to be me

My sister and me sang this song at our church because we loved it so much. I guess you could kind of call it our song. My sister means the world to me and I love love love that we have matching tattoos!
